Do you ever get sick of doing things the same way? Changing up your simple routine can give you a little pick me up. Change up your lip color, style your hair differently, change up your daily exercise routine or tie your scarf in a different way! Here are three simple ways to tie a scarf in an unexpected new way.
Do the twist!
- Fold the scarf in half and loop it.
- Bring the tail through the loop.
- Twist the loop.
- Bring the tail through the second loop.
- Tighten the tail and voilà!
Loop De Loop
- Fold the scarf in half and loop it.
- Bring one tail end through the loop.
- Take the other end over the side of the loop closest to your face.
- Bring that same end then through the loop.
- Tighten the tail ends and there you have it!
Bow-tiful!
- If you are working with a true blanket scarf – fold in half to make triangle. I love these scarfs from Luxe Statements because they carry scarfs that are already cut in triangle shapes. They give you less bulk!
- Wrap the scarf around your neck like you normally would.
- Bring the ends back forward.
- Rotate the scarf so that the triangle is off-centered, then tie the ends.
- This is the part I love – now tie those ends into a bow!
- Tighten the bow and now you have a completely new look!
This last way to tie a scarf is actually my favorite. Most people tie a blanket scarf the same why, by wrapping the triangle sides in the front and bringing the tails forward. This way is a lot more fun!
