fall 3

I love all things fall and Halloween. Haunted houses, scary movies, ghost stories and decorating, but I am a true girly girl! Sometimes spooky isn’t pretty. I wanted to come up with a way to decorate faux pumpkins pretty enough to keep up through Thanksgiving. This is a super easy DIY to make you feel bright and cheerful even during this dreary scary time of year. I’ve put together a step by step tutorial to make decorating stress free!

Supplies: All of these supplies were purchased at Michael’s but you can find them at any of your local craft stores.

  • Faux Pumpkins
  • Faux Flowers
  • Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • Glitter
  • Paint Brush

Step One:

Remove all of the stems of the faux flowers.

Step Two:

Start with your bigger flowers, decide how you want the design of your pumpkin to be and glue those flowers down.

Step Three:

Continue to glue flowers down by placing smaller ones to fill in the line of the design.

Step Four:

Paint the stem of the pumpkin with Mod Podge.

Step Five:

Cover the stem with glitter. Let dry.

Step Six:

Put your creation out on display and be proud of what you made!

Voilà! There you have it! Nobody said Halloween has to be spooky. Go decorate in style!

xoxo, Katie
