Nothing screams summer more than celebrating the 4TH OF JULY! When I look back, I realize I never use to be that excited about the upcoming holiday. Sure, I’d attend a BBQ here and there, watch fireworks and parades and always wear a cute festive t-shirt. But I now believe no other day defines summer quite like the 4th of July! So bring on the red, white and blue because I’m ready to celebrate! I’ve linked all the best finds for Americana apparel including this lightweight sweatshirt and the cutest home decor pieces from some of my favorite retailers. Come along and go shopping with me! I’m all about trying new things and eyelash extensions were definitely at the top of my list. I’m sure we’ve all tried the glue-on ones from the drugstore. You know, the ones that never really stick, are too big for your eyes or just look way too fake. Well, I finally got the chance to really just go for it at Deka Lash in Naperville and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The talented and patient Kaily, applied a full set of lashes on me. It’s been about a week, so I feel that I’m well acquainted with them. I’m so glad I got them done when I did, perfect for celebrating New Years with a bang! Here is everything you need to know before you head to the salon and change your look from pretty to va-va-va voom!  What To Expect The vibes at […]

Las Vegas is such a easy breezy place to go for a quick vacation. Four days is a perfect amount of time unless you want to see a lot of shows. I love going to Las Vegas and doing different things than just gamble and drink all day. I have rounded up 10 free or nearly free things to do in Las Vegas that you never would have thought to do! 1. See the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign – I mean duh! Go as early as you can to avoid long lines. 2. Visit the Seven Magic Mountains – I love nature and I love art so this is right up my alley. You won’t spend too much time here. It’s fun to take some pictures and really soak in the beauty of these rock formations and the surrounding desert. The colors are still vibrant after spending years below […]

Let me know below or on Instagram here. xoxo, Katie

Just because it is September 1st does not mean that summer is over! I’m not saying that I’m not super excited for all things fall – pumpkin spice lattes, chunky sweaters and fall scented candles, but I just can’t believe that summer will soon be coming to an end. I’ve rounded up my favorite Amazon purchases that I made this summer. These are pieces that I’ve worn over and over again. Pieces that I will wear all the way until the warm weather ends. Since I’m in the Midwest that could be October! We never know. 1. Sunflower Midi Dress – My #1 favorite Amazon purchase this summer is this sunflower dress. I can’t tell you how many times I wore this dress this summer. It’s comfy, it’s flattering, and it’s the perfect midi length. I also think it offers a good amount of support to go bra-less. It’s such a great […]
