I wanted to write down everything I want to do this fall because they say when you write it down you’ll hold yourself more accountable. So I figured while I’m writing it all down, I’ll share it with you! Here are just 10 things I want to do this fall (in no particular order). 1) Make handmade caramel apples (recipe here from justataste.com) 2) See Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight 3) Drive to see fall foliage 4) Carve a pumpkin (ideas here from southernliving.com) 5) Get lost in a corn maze 6) Learn to make Butter Beer (recipe here from jetsettingmom.com) 7) Take a hard cider tasting cruise along Lake Michigan (October 5th) 8) Visit a pumpkin patch 9) Go apple picking 10) Celebrate Oktoberfest What’s on your Fall bucket list? Let me know below or on Instagram here. xoxo, Katie

I think I love fall most of all! It’s the time of year when the leaves start to fall, the weather starts to drop, I feed my pumpkin spice chai tea latte addiction and pumpkins are everywhere! Pumpkins are not just a symbol of Halloween, they are used all season long. I love using fake pumpkins to spruce up my home decor. There are so many genius and fun ways to utilize fake pumpkins. White pumpkins are a chic alternative but gold, now that just screams GLAM! And if you know anything about me you know I’m all about the style and glamour! Gold is such a popular color for home decor, it’s everywhere! Today I have a simple DIY to dress up your home decor for fall with a chic new look.

My favorite fall activity is going to the pumpkin patch! I rarely carve pumpkins anymore so going later in the season is fine with me. Luckily we went out on one of the last warm sunny days before it turned cold. We drove up to almost the Illinois/Wisconsin border to Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove. I had never been there before and the line to get in was crazy long. It’s quite a large farm with the World’s Largest Corn Maze! The corn maze is 10 miles of trail winding through 28 acres of live corn. What is even cooler about their corn maze is that it pays tribute to the 2016 World Series Champions, the Chicago Cubs! It is truly a masterpiece. I mean how cool is that?!?

Have you guys heard of Brickyard Buffalo? Its an on-trend daily deal website featuring different vendors. The site offers incredible deals on clothing, accessories, baby goods and home goods. Everything on their site is super affordable and most items ship free. It’s a great site to use to stay on budget!    The long sleeve tawny jordan dress is super comfy, so versatile and an easy transition piece. It’s a knee length dress in tawny with black and white striped sleeves. Never heard of the color tawny? Tawny is a light brown to brownish orange color. Art Class lesson of the day! As I was saying, this dress is a great transition dress because once it gets colder just add tights and boots and you are all set! I’ve styled this dress three different ways from casual to dressy.

I love all things fall and Halloween. Haunted houses, scary movies, ghost stories and decorating, but I am a true girly girl! Sometimes spooky isn’t pretty. I wanted to come up with a way to decorate faux pumpkins pretty enough to keep up through Thanksgiving. This is a super easy DIY to make you feel bright and cheerful even during this dreary scary time of year. I’ve put together a step by step tutorial to make decorating stress free!
