Nothing screams summer more than celebrating the 4TH OF JULY! When I look back, I realize I never use to be that excited about the upcoming holiday. Sure, I’d attend a BBQ here and there, watch fireworks and parades and always wear a cute festive t-shirt. But I now believe no other day defines summer quite like the 4th of July! So bring on the red, white and blue because I’m ready to celebrate! I’ve linked all the best finds for Americana apparel including this lightweight sweatshirt and the cutest home decor pieces from some of my favorite retailers. Come along and go shopping with me! I’m all about trying new things and eyelash extensions were definitely at the top of my list. I’m sure we’ve all tried the glue-on ones from the drugstore. You know, the ones that never really stick, are too big for your eyes or just look way too fake. Well, I finally got the chance to really just go for it at Deka Lash in Naperville and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The talented and patient Kaily, applied a full set of lashes on me. It’s been about a week, so I feel that I’m well acquainted with them. I’m so glad I got them done when I did, perfect for celebrating New Years with a bang! Here is everything you need to know before you head to the salon and change your look from pretty to va-va-va voom!  What To Expect The vibes at […]

Follow my blog with Bloglovin She’s alive! Whoa! I know it’s been awhile. Sorry I’ve been so MIA, but life can be tough sometimes. As I sit here at my little bistro set on my back patio, I question some things that have been weighing on me lately. The main thing being my blog. What am I doing this for? Does it matter to anybody? How do I balance a full time job, a blog, family and a social life? Should I be a part of Reward Style? How can I put myself out there more? Will I run out of ideas? Do I even have a voice? Okay sorry, I sound so melodramatic! I just question if I can keep up with this and will it even matter. I guess if it only matters to me than there’s a reason to continue. I started blogging because I was looking […]

Follow my blog with Bloglovin It’s no surprise that everybody is talking about self-care these days. It’s so important for your mental well-being. And what’s better than working on self-care than doing it at a fancy spa with your girlfriends? My girlfriends and I are all busy women, so it’s difficult to plan a spa day that matches all of our schedules. Of course I’m the only one without kids so my schedule is a little more flexible. We were planning a spa day and just couldn’t find a Saturday that worked for all 5 of us unless we waited 6 weeks out! I wasn’t having any of that! So I suggested we take a Monday off of work to spend the day relaxing, rejuvenating, gossiping and laughing. Besides there is such a thing as a “mental health day” right? One of my girlfriends suggested Kohler Waters Spa because she […]
