Just like that another year has come to an end. Not just a year, but a decade. I was so fortunate this year to be able to travel to so many new places and return to a couple of my favorites. Below I’m breaking down everywhere we went and what my favorite part about each location was. Come along on my 2019 travel recap! New Orleans First up was New Orleans in February. This year, we started a tradition to take my mom on a trip around her birthday every year. We took her to New Orleans and had a blast. The French Quarter Sidewalk Food Tour was my favorite thing to do there. I have to say, the food in general is amazing in New Orleans. // Moto jacket // Sweater, similar // Sneakers // Charleston Charleston had been on my list for a while now. It’s so charming […]

If you’ve never been to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, you may be thinking 48 hours can’t possibly be enough time! I’m here to tell you, it is! Depending on how much of the touristy things you want to do, even one full day can be enough time. But if you’re into wineries, give yourself at least one more day to explore Niagara-on-the-Lake. Must See Attractions In my opinion there are 3 attractions you absolutely must do when visiting Niagara Falls. The first is taking a ride on the Hornblower Cruise. The first boat leaves at 8:30 am every morning, it’s also the only time when the boat isn’t jam packed. If you go at any other time, be prepared to wait in line and to be packed on the boat like sardines. Disclaimer: be prepared to get wet!!! They give you a poncho which helps for the most […]

Today, in honor of Fat Tuesday, I’m talking all things New Orleans! What an incredible place filled with history, ghost stories, around the clock nightlife, live music and amazing food. Where creole cuisine, Po Boys, Bananas Foster and Hurricanes were all invented. If you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway, never underestimate NOLA! A long weekend is the perfect amount of time to spend in the Big Easy. I recently had the opportunity to spoil my mom and take her along for the ride. Follow along while I share with you where we ate, where we drank and what we did. Where We Ate Oceana // Leopard Tee, Similar // Jeans, Similar // Oceana is known for their classic New Orleans fare and laid-back dining. We tried the Blackened Redfish, Luisiana Crab Meat Cakes and the Taste of New Orleans, which includes a sampling of Creole Jambalaya, Crawfish Étouffée and […]

Las Vegas is such a easy breezy place to go for a quick vacation. Four days is a perfect amount of time unless you want to see a lot of shows. I love going to Las Vegas and doing different things than just gamble and drink all day. I have rounded up 10 free or nearly free things to do in Las Vegas that you never would have thought to do! 1. See the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign – I mean duh! Go as early as you can to avoid long lines. 2. Visit the Seven Magic Mountains – I love nature and I love art so this is right up my alley. You won’t spend too much time here. It’s fun to take some pictures and really soak in the beauty of these rock formations and the surrounding desert. The colors are still vibrant after spending years below […]
